Project Overview

Throughout the Caribbean, Ready & Able provides a comprehensive approach for the provision of sport opportunities for persons with disabilities in school and through community programming.

The program focuses on school and community program development and sustainability through sport. Using sport, Ready & Able brings persons with disabilities together to experience the health benefits of physical activity and, more importantly, the social and psychological advantages. Through the Ready & Able program, participants learn life lessons and have opportunities to improve their skills and become empowered within their communities and schools while at the same time encouraging community integration and disability awareness.
