SPORTS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Sport for Life T&T is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and competent applicant to fill the captioned position.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

*To deliver and support a range of targeted physical activity programmes aimed at widening access to sport and physical activity.

*To work with local authorities, communities, schools and clubs to promote sporting events, workshops and programmes, and encourage people from all backgrounds to get involved in sporting activities.

*To prepare and manage budgets for specific activities/programmes.

*To communicate and gather information to increase the understanding of sport and recreational issues.

*Liaise and develop positive working relationships with partners, stakeholders and other relevant agencies to facilitate the delivery of sport and physical activity programmes, initiatives and events.

*To coordinate the development of support materials, including manuals and videos for teachers and community volunteers.

*To coordinate and facilitate workshops for teachers and community volunteers, both locally and regionally.

REQUIREMENTS

Applicants should:

*Be experienced in a sport related environment

*Be self directed and posses leadership skills

*Posses strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines

*Posses excellent oral and written communication skills

*Posses excellent interpersonal skills
