Welcome to ISPEC 2007

TTASPE is pleased to invite physical education teachers, coaches, community volunteers, sport administrators, youth administrators, counselors and advocates for sport for development to our bi-annual convention, ISPEC 2007. This year we'll be focusing on the emerging field of Sport for Development and we're proud to announce our keynote speaker, Zambia's dynamic Sport in Action leader, Clement Chileshe.

This year we have a full schedule of sessions, beginning with a pre-convention Anti-Doping workshop organized in collaboration with the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee and the Caribbean Regional Anti-Doping Organization.

In addition to plenary and break out sessions that cater for teachers, coaches and administrators, we also have a panel discussion scheduled for Day 2 and a choice of several workshops offered on the Saturday, including an introduction to an introduction to Archery for persons with disabilities.

For those of you interested in Monitoring and Evaluation of your programs, you wouldn't want to miss Jay Mafukidze's session. Jay has had extensive experience in the field of sport for development and has worked with Commonwealth Games Canada in the area of monitoring and Evaluation. And our local M&E man, Chanzo Greenidge will present a session on the Most Significant Change methodology with specific reference to our Speyside, Tobago project. Check out our schedule for more details of these and other sessions

Be sure to purchase tickets for our first ever fund raising banquet and silent auction on the night before the convention. We look forward to seeing you at ISPEC 2007 to renew old acquaintances, meet new friends and continue our efforts at developing a stronger collaboration among our regional sport and physical education fraternity.
